The two CT clamps made wiring it into my panel a breeze, and the live readings in the app update fast enough that I can see the dryer’s draw change in real time. It’s already paying for itself by showing me which appliance is eating the most power each morning.
Took about ten minutes to wire into my breaker panel and the live consumption readout updates quickly enough to see my dryer kick on in real time. The Gen3 build feels sturdier than the older meters I've used, and the local API setup was painless.
I was a bit intimidated by the wiring, but the clamp-based current sensors made it far less scary than I expected, and the readings in the app update fast enough to track my dryer's cycle in real time. Only wish the included manual had a few more diagrams.
