RC snubber

Wired this across the relay contacts and the flickering on my shop lights vanished immediately, the voltage spikes are gone. The board is compact enough to tuck right next to the terminal block, and it’s been running cool for a week straight without any issues.

Installed this snubber across the relay contacts and the voltage spikes on my oscilloscope dropped to almost nothing. The energy absorbing circuit does exactly what it’s supposed to, and my smart home setup has been rock solid since.

My old relay kept tripping every time the compressor kicked off, so I grabbed one of these energy-absorbing circuits and wired it in. The voltage spikes are gone now, and it's been running smooth for two weeks straight. Small part, but it did exactly what it was supposed to do.
