Shelly Bypass is required for Shelly devices that do not need neutral wire to operate if the load they switch is less than 20 W at 240 VAC.

My dimmer wouldn't even click on with my 15W ceiling fixture until I added this little bypass. The 20W threshold explained everything, and now the load works perfectly without flicker.
My LED strip draws only 12 watts, and without this little bypass the Shelly 1L just wouldn't switch it at all. Took five minutes to wire in and now everything works flawlessly, even at that low load.
I was nervous about my dimmer not having a neutral wire, but this little bypass solved it instantly. Wiring was straightforward and now the lights work perfectly even at low wattage, no flickering at all.
